Colour Consultation

Free expert advice on colours, finishes and combinations before you commit.

Overview

The most expensive mistake in painting is the wrong colour, and it is also the easiest to avoid. Our colour consultation is free, and it happens before any work is booked.

We look at the light your rooms actually get, the fixed elements the colour has to sit with (flooring, benchtops, brickwork), and how colours flow from room to room. Whites in particular behave very differently between a north-facing living room and a shaded hallway.

You end up with a shortlist you have seen against your own walls, not a guess from a paint chip under shop lighting.

How a job runs

From first call to handover

  1. Walk through and quote

Kartik looks at the job in person or from clear photos, talks through colours, and sends a written quote. The number you approve is the number on the invoice.

  2. Protect and prep

Drop sheets, masking, filling, sanding and priming. The unglamorous hours are what the finish depends on, so they are not rushed.

  3. Paint

Two topcoats, brushed, rolled or sprayed depending on the surface. Coverage is checked in natural light between coats.

  4. Handover

Masking off, sheets up, everything cleaned, and a lap of the job with you before it is called done.

Questions about Colour Consultation

Does the colour consultation cost extra?

No. It is free with every quote, and it happens before any work is booked.

What do you look at when choosing colours?

The light your rooms actually get, the fixed elements the colour has to sit with (flooring, benchtops, brickwork), and how colours flow from room to room.

Why do whites look different in each room?

Whites behave very differently between a north-facing living room and a shaded hallway, so we test them against your own walls.

Can you help me choose colours?

Yes. A free colour consultation comes with every quote. We look at your light, your floors and your fixed finishes, and shortlist colours against your own walls.

Can you match an existing wall colour?

Usually, yes. A small flake or a painted offcut lets the paint shop scan and match the colour closely. Bring the details to the quote and we will confirm the match before ordering.
